Gunner (SuspiciouslyMetallic out of Suspicious Blonde, a granddaughter of Cutter Bill, by sire Metallic Malice) is proudly owned by Amy Pierce and Tim Tipton. A half-brother to Cutters Chrome Cat, the 2023 Reserve Futurity Champion, Gunner carries a pedigree rich in talent and tradition.

Poetic Justice, known as PJ, is a futurity prospect in the early, intentional stages of his career. Just started under saddle, PJ represents exactly what Team Penley looks for in a young horse: a solid foundation, a thoughtful mind, and the kind of raw potential that rewards patience and correct development.

Zee Michael Angelo, the horse know as Mick, is the kind of horse that changes a rider’s trajectory—and a program’s standard. Athletic, gritty, and unmistakably intelligent, Mick is a proven Cowboy Mounted Shooting competitor whose consistency, heart, and presence have made him a standout across multiple seasons.

Josie is a versatile, gentle, and trustworthy all-around prospect with a performance foundation. He combines show ring presence with amateur-friendly disposition, making him a rare find for buyers seeking both performance potential and rideability for a broad range of riders.

A barn favorite and staple to Penley Horsemanship. Duce, the little yellow rocket, and Cara have been demonstrating the combination of Guns' Grit, N' Grace since 2017.

2020 AQHA Gelding owned and shown by Team Rider Julia Ray. Started under saddle and with mounted shooting by Penley Horsemanship, Gucci is a full brother to our stallion, Tuff Little Pepto. Gucci and Julia successfully competed in the national CMSA Futurity and Derby in 2024 and 2025 and are looking to enter their third year of competition together headed towards the 2026 CMSA Derby. You wont find a sweeter disposition with the fire to be an upper level horse.

AQHA Gelding owned and shown by Team Rider Drew Wallace. Started by Jared Penley in Cowboy Mounted Shooting, Big Red is a force in the pen with his power and huge stride. It is awesome to watch Big Red and Drew in action! This amazing horse has accrued many state, regional, and national titles under both Jared and Drew and continues to turn heads wherever he goes!

2023 AQHA mare out of our stallion, Tuff Little Pepto. Lil Miss is started under saddle and loves to be with people. First to greet you in the pasture every time. She is quick footed and intelligent, which will make her excel in the shooting or cutting pen. Out of Third Ride, direct daughter of Third Cutting.

Lil Straight Classic, more affectionately known as Bowie, is owned and shown by Team Rider Chris Himes. Bowie was started in mounted shooting by Penley Horsemanship and became a long gun horse for Team Rider Drew Wallace before making his way to Chris. Bowie is a barn favorite and loved by everyone that gets to ride him. He is special in that he can lay down top times for Chris and then turn around to be patient with a novice rider.

2023 AQHA gelding out of our stallion, Tuff Little Pepto. Byrd is started under saddle and follows his sire's kind disposition. He is athletic with a large stride ready to cover ground in the shooting or cutting pen. Out of CR Tuffer Than Nails, direct daughter of Woody Be Tuff.

This amazing horse loves his job and has surpassed all expectations. We love him so much that we bought his full brother from Spring Valley Ranch. Thank you, Chris Himes, for the opportunity to train and ride this fantastic gelding!
